This exactly. Why watch from a crappy phone screen and have to worry about plugging it in, wifi dropping, etc. You can watch an entire movie, show, or TV on your own audio. It's a game changer for making 3+ hours go by quickly. It's especially so when you're in economy and you can't really get comfortable enough to sleep, so might as well watch stuff.
with all the commuting I’ve done to the many bases I’ve worked out of. I always end up Watching videos downloaded for offline viewing. Netflix and all the other providers let you download them.
but, I love having WiFi for texting enroute. I don’t care about a catalogue of videos. But being able to stay in the loop with the news and texting my family. That is worth paying extra every time.
