The wave is definitely kicking on and people with marginally more time than 1000 turbine/2500 total time are actively receiving interviews and CJOs. An overwhelming majority of them are ULCC/LCC FOs from NK, F9, and B6, and probably 98% of the ones I personally know, are volunteering at organizations similar to the one I'm volunteering at. Don't shoot the messenger.
Most of us recognize our luck, my personal mentor had it easy and still did 6+ years at a regional + a stint at a ULCC. I wouldn't be in the positions I am (and I don't mean my flying job, but my volunteer "jobs") if I was some hot-shot know-nothing who thinks they're entitled the world. If it ruffles your feathers that I'm as involved and optimistic (and lucky) as I am, that's not my fault, rather your own problem. This **** is unfair and incredibly luck/timing based, best we can do is put our best feet forward and hope for the best.
Yeah, that sounds great and all, you’re volunteering, you’re connected…. I’m not sure why you’re implying that I think really inexperienced people aren’t getting hired - they are. None of that ruffles my feathers. Stuff like this though:

The obsession over some of this stuff is tiring.
Making fun of someone who lucked into a legacy job as someone who lucked into an LCC job - were you even off probation at that point? - “pretending to know how the industry works” And then in the same breath telling someone what they’ll be flying at DL decades from now. Can’t make that $hit up🤦♂️. Best part of WB flying - minimal exposure to “extremely well connected” 2500-hour wonders.
