I think the more likely outcome is NATO fighters being deployed to Poland - with AWACS backup - to assist picking off drones violating Polands airspace as well as NATO antiaircraft artillery. In fact, they’ve already started promising to do that.

But these were aircraft and artillery manned by NATO personnel that they had no intention of deploying to Ukraine in any event. Even the “coalition of the willing” isn’t willing to openly deploy their troops into Ukraine without a cease fire and even that only if backed up by an American backstop:

European militaries wouldn’t go into Yugoslavia without America leading the charge during the breakup of that country. They were unable/unwilling to handle the Serbian Army to stop genocide on the doorstep of Europe back then when their militaries were actually in better shape than they are now.
