One of our Pilot personal equipment officers (additional duty) went to the cold hanger at Eglin AFB and tested a "simulated" ejection at 70,000 ft temperatures in the pressure suit. Our IAS at altitude was 115 kts and they couldn't simulate that let alone the terminal free fall speed after three to four minutes.
His advice after returning - If the airplane is burning, ride it down and stay warm.
