After the individual running the call requested ANYONE outside the slates to state if they wanted to put their name for president, it was silent. Therefor only two opposing candidates for president were present and eligible. Long story short, after the meeting was over, and cameras were OFF. JR tried dropping his name in for President. Apparently GU wanted to allow it, but was shot down by the union mediator that was running the meeting. What does that tell you? What does that tell ANYONE? Seriously... put two and two together. This is the type of slimmy crap GU does, and apparently JR is ok to do to keep control.
Are we going to blame the company for this? Or if GU would've gotten away with it? NO. Enough is enough, people need to vote for a slate that is looking to do the pilot groups wishes, not GUs or some hardliners that just want to fight the company all the way to an impasse that isn't going to happen.
I think it’s very clear the Blueskies slate is the only way. Yes, there are good guys on both, but it’s very clear the Building Unity slate is not the way. It’s been years of trying to build unity, the last thing we need is a slate comprised mostly of VPS pilots negotiating our contract while ignoring data.
