I'm blanking out on the reference and it may be a false memory (and I've never done it in PCS), but I seem to recall understanding that PBS will allow you to orphan LC days at the end of the month, but not the beginning, while PCS is the opposite and can let you orphan LC days at the beginning of the month, but not the end.
