A government is free to tax spend and fund anything to its hearts content.
If a base in AMS used the free magical universal health care their taxes pay for then great. If a base in AMS said every pilot can use 240-270 hours of company funded ALPA negotiated sick time to play hookie on good weather days with no note then we should all get that.
