So we are asking DAPLA to spend significant negotiating capital on having Washington state law apply to pilots based in places like ATL and SLC. This is a significant cost that SEA base pilots would get nothing for despite being the ones who live in the state that is the reason for the change. If ATL pilots want the same legal protections SEA/MSP/LAX pilots have, vote for politicians that will do that or bid to those bases.

You are the one saying it's "significant negotiating capital". I would strongly disagree with that characterization.
Again, UA (apparently) already has this. This isn't novel. In the big scheme, this is an incredibly small cost to the company, allowing us to use some of our already-allocated sick benefit for our family.
