I spoke with RJ directly, personally, and none of that lines up with what he actually said. Not a bit. So let’s not pretend second hand gossip is strategic insight.

And as for the other slate… come on. We all know how that goes. Nobody…and I mean nobody is handing the controls of this pilot group over to Rob S. The man is still trying to figure out which end of the paper bag he’s supposed to push on. Asking him to explain contract strategy is like asking a goldfish to run a chess match, it’s just not gonna happen, and it’s not his fault, but we’re not gonna gamble our careers on it.

So if you’re gonna come in here swinging, at least bring something based in reality, not whatever rumor mill memo got passed around this morning.
Three talking points the BUS slate is spreading:

1- That I, the FB group I admin and whatsapp are interfering with election integrity. Seems like they're already planning to call foul IF the happen to lose.

2- RJ is soft on the company and the company wants HIM specifically bc he will cave to all their demands. Same talking points were said about the Transparency Slate in 2023 when they ran, RS was part of that slate. Now it's hilariously ironic that they are pedaling it. Pathetic really.

3- The next one is that prior FLEET MANAGER, FR who is a company check airman, with a good track record of demanding for accountability and transparency from GU, and his proxies, can't be trusted.

This is more of the GU, CG, and frankly IBT playbook. Someone has a dissenting opinion and you SMEAR THEM so they lose credibility. The reality is GH (Treasurer candidate) said it best recently. He wouldn't be on the slate with RJ if he didn't 100 believe that FR stood for what they all represent. Putting the pilots first, their wants, and restoring trust and unity through actual results. I for one supported the ALPA drive the second time because I was/am sick of the IBTs absolute mediocraty in representing pilots. This local has its work cut out, and many volunteers have absolutely put in the work, and it should recognized. This isn't about who wants a contract or funcationing local, I think everyone does. HOW it's accomplished and who has the experience, intelligence and trust from the pilot group is what splits us. One slate offers more of the same IMHO, the other seems to have a very diverse group of individuals, with different backgrounds that have contributed A LOT to the pilot group for the past few years (overall).

One slate wants to find solutions for a fair contract that works for the majority of G4 pilots, the other is focused on dying on the hill of an impasse, and dragging everyone along by moving the goal post, and hoping on attrition to do the trick.
