The FCIF says there WILL not be hiring before 2010. it never said they intended or planned to hire in 2010.
BTW, MGT could just as easily announced this excess and a furlough at the same time if they really intneded to furlough.
Time will tell. The economy and revenues will dictate the future.
But as for manning it is simple math. If we have too many pilots in specific seats, it makes sense to overstaff or force the excesses to the lowest paying seats. But that is just a line dawgs opinion.
