Let's make this clear....................DW made a conscious decision to disregard 68% of his constituents and supported changing the Age 60 rule to 65......THEN he single-handedly decided to inject himself on the legislation-writing process at the ALPA National level and included verbiage that allowed those over 60 to move back to the front seat(retroactivity).....adversely effecting every pilot under 60 on the seniority list. WHY is he still representing us??????????

Because not enough of us have written our block reps telling them we want him recalled. Maybe someone will ask him to resign at the meeting tonight...

for those of you who didn't get the 8 hours notice, his leadershipness is making an appearance at the hub tonight.

The difference was that there was absolutely no overtime flying for commuters (in ANC), unless they didn't mind hanging around an additional day between the end of their normal trip and the beginning of their extra trip. I'm not sure that's even an issue any more, based on all that's happening.
Ditto. With many of the secondary lines in ANC getting RSV, 4.5 CH a day vs. 6CH as an FO becomes a wash. You fly less but make about the same as an FO for more days gone.

Oh well. Looks like Fred's buying another condo.

Here is another thing to consider regarding Reserve. The company will continue to build the 15 day / 19 day reserve lines regardless of what the RLG is. If or when the "F word" happens, will we be forced to swallow working 15 days at 2.66 credit hrs per day (or 40 per month). Being a junior commuting Captain ( or F/O) to anywhere may be really hateful in that case.

Yeah but you'd still have a lot of dropped days. It would suck for the guys who commute.

Section 25.M.1.g
If a reserve pilot has met or exceeded his RLG, his remaining R-day(s) in the bid period shall be removed without pay consequence.

But bidding reserve will be great for months of vacation, won't it??

....think about how many days you'll be able to strectch out 7 days (i.e. 42 hrs of vacation) using that formula in the contract ----wow!
