Maybe some individual variation, but I have no problem simply taking an afternoon nap to prep for late flying. Then coffee. That works fine once, repeated flip-flopping day after day will quickly become problematic.
I guess you could ask for something like after your first LC callout, they need to keep you within a specific circadian window. Or say 48 hours to reset.
Maybe you could just divide LC into am and pm. They way that would work is you don't start and end at midnight...
AM LC starts at 1400 with first report availability at 0400.
PM starts at 0400, first report 1600.
But now we're back to the calendar day issue for days off.
