Thats not entirely true. You
can bring up a fellow crewmember's trip and see where they are inbound from, ETA, etc.
And, concerning the rest issue.... If the capt doesn't want to look up the other crewmembers trip, or jsut doesn't know how because he hasn't used the system, they could just ask. A person could be tired after just 1 flight. I didn't land last night until 230am after a 12.5 hour duty day, and I still was wide awake. Asking would sure do the trick.
