The OOBWS acknowledgment rate is minuscule. It slows coverage, forcing the company to go to IA (and soon QS), without meaningfully increasing the number of trips that the company is able to cover at straight pay rather than premium pay.

Put GS above OOBWS, and the company will be able to cover more trips at 2x pay rather than 3x pay for a QS + M7.
People have expressed that the QS is going to eliminate GS entirely. Well that very well may be the case if OOBWS stays where they are with 18 hours less to report. While it’s entirely possible someone could take a short notice WS in another base the chances of that pilot being in position are
pretty rare i would suspect. OOBWS going below in base green slips preserves the seniority and flying opportunities of the pilots in that base. It also would protect green slip coverage. Ya payroll would go down but who is being harmed? The pilot who we all know is 99% unlikely to be able to fly the trip they got skipped for? Not hatin the players but the game is f’ed.
