I am working on upgrading as quick as I can to start building TPIC time, I am also going to become a cadet mentor as well and do some volunteer work outside of the airlines. I got hired at UA without a degree. I know of at least 3 other ones like me, and a few hundred that had one. And I had 8000 hours TPIC, 15000 TT, 5 type ratings, JAA/FAA ATP(L), no failures in 20 years.
Yes, there is a way without, but it is probably easier to get the degree.
