I picked up an IAWC a few days ago. Had a garbage 4-day assigned to me and got the IA call the evening prior for a very easy 2-day that conflicted with the 4 day, so it got dropped. SO: I flew 2-day IA, day 1 was an X-day, day 2 was an LC day with assigned 4-day worth 21:11. IAWC is defined as one that "overlaps a scheduled rotation(s) remaining to be flown." Box checked. Now, does 23.U.4 apply to a reserve pilot?

I think the tag "regular line" in that section short circuits the pay/credit protection for the 4-day rotation for a reserve pilot. So did I basically just give up 21:11 of pay/credit for an additional 5:15 above guarantee, a payback day, and a net loss of nearly 11 hours of credit? Because now I have a 5-day that it opened me up to and I am rethinking my life choices.

Input welcomed....
