I think the tag "regular line" in that section short circuits the pay/credit protection for the 4-day rotation for a reserve pilot. So did I basically just give up 21:11 of pay/credit for an additional 5:15 above guarantee, a payback day, and a net loss of nearly 11 hours of credit? Because now I have a 5-day that it opened me up to and I am rethinking my life choices.

Reserves cannot get GSWC or IAWC. They can get a GS or IA that conflicts with a future reserve assignment, but that is covered under the regular GS/IA step of coverage. GSWC and IAWC are separate steps.
