Many of us will remain bc we made G4 our choice career and we know that we will get a contract that will have great improvements from the current (First) one. It won't be Delta, United, or some cliche of industry standard. But it will definitely surpass our ULCC peers by a lot in many ways, and in other ways it might not. What matters is that the needle be moved in this place in the right direction, and not try to believe we can just leapfrog EVERYONE into becoming Delta/United on day trips; that's ludicrous!
Next thing that G4 pilots should be looking forward to, striving and hoping for is to have proper representation and good leadership, beginning January 1st. This absolutely is a fresh start since TA ratification in 2016. 2026 will be a good and interesting year for G4, and G4 pilots.
Merry belated Christmas my friends, and happy new year.
Yes each has to do what they feel best for themselves, but without a contract that is good enough to recruit and retain pilots this place will not have a way to grow going forward. Even those that want to stay should be worried about can G4 survive another mass exit of pilots. Lots of pilots can see the numbers that are planed to get hired this year and a lot are hoping to be at the front of that hiring. If G4 does not have a TA by March the list of pilots trying to go will just increase. If that TA is not good the younger will just leave and at best G4 will just be an FO training ground for the others.
