In easy math
$20k bill
$300 deductible paid by me.
$2750 to OOP max.
Delta tried to take the fill $20k not the $17k they actually paid out of pocket. Also with my CT scan they tried to recoup full list price, ($7600) not the amount UMR/Delta actually paid ($1500 or so)

Whole incident left me very sour towards USAA and the company.

I lost an entire year of doing anything fun. No mountain bikes. No motocross. No snowboarding. Was OK enough to work but anything beyond that or real sedate road biking and I was laid up for days. Had to hire movers because there was no way I was moving us. ($23k right there)

I've had 3 surgeries because of the accident (2 minor outpatient, one elbow reconstruction)

I'm going to need a hip replacement but my Orthopedic surgeon Emperor Palpatine is trying to hold off a few more years so I don't have to get it re done in my 70s.
Fixed it for you
