Where there is smoke there is fire.
The problem is that when a disgruntled Chicken Little is the smoke detector, there would be too many false alarms. A more accurate analogy would be that there are some fire hazards in the house that need to be addressed and to be aware of the ones that aren't immediately correctable. Meanwhile, replace the Chicken Little smoke detectors with another brand.
In other words Chicken Little, the career is not on fire.
