Is it that they intend to keep the dc-8 and add the 767 to an expanding fleet. I thought they are getting rid of the dc-8 and peplacing them with the same number of 76's...
If they are getting rid of the DC-8 then why would they need this many more addtional pilots
It seems to me, (but then again what the hec do I know?), that they would just send the initial cadre of crews for the 76's to training and just hire maybe 30 additinal new guys to take their place while the boeing crews are in training.
Still can you explain how you get, or where you heard the additional 100 pilots next year?
By the way I got called in for the interview on the 17th of june.
Sorry for all the typo's in advance.
Word is straight from the CP. 767s will be in addition to DC-8s. Well into the future they may replace the 8, but not anytime soon.
Each 767 that shows up needs 10 pilots(5 crew ratio), 1-Jul, 1-Aug and 2-Dec. Long-term sounds like plans are a large fleet of 767s. With a higher crew ratio than the 8(5 vs 3), and since they are supposed to do a lot more international, there is a big need for pilots at ATI right now.
The more guys hired after me the better
PM me for better info.
