Jamie Baker is perhaps the most feared, respected, and correct airline analyst in the business. He just upgraded SWA based on information that he has. This airline, despite its issues, is poised to be swimming in free cash, which is the first step in expanding and doing new and better things to increase those cash levers.

We aren't Spirit. We aren't shrinking. We aren't closing Denver. We just went through one of the most depressing and soul cleansing purges in the company's history brought on by the Gary Kelly induced Christmas meltdown. We are fully on the other side of that now. Not saying we are going to rule the world or look out Delta, just saying that we are poised to return to historical profitability by doing the things that we should have been doing for a very long time.

The doom and gloom here is beyond ridiculous. Yeah, there's some items we need to clean up in our own house, but give it some effing time and let the process take place.
