Long as #1 doesn't change, you can swap bases as much as you want and keep DRR.

Crew Planning has no idea what the true cost of these displacements are.
If you're gonna leave, might as well do it on the front end of them hiring 2k+ this year.

Swapa said planning has no idea, and doesn't even care....not their problem. It's a different silo, so someone else's problem to deal with. One dept doesn't talk to the other and nobody in DAL cares what's going on until it affect them (prob why Elliott stepped in)....by the time the costing gets to the bean counter's desk it's too late....so they tell the CP's to deny hotel rooms instead....like that'll save any $. Deny my contractual hotels and I'll sick click the trip, costing you premium (because I'm gonna elitt the trip for one that's PBR out of spite). This place loves tripping over dollars to pinch pennies...

so kind of embarrassed to ask this, but how do you tell it’s pbr when elitting? Coming from someone who almost never uses this feature I would be curious.

I’ve started a thread for the April vacancy.

I’m assuming he’s being snarky and not literal. Although, I don’t grasp the underlying method. I don’t see how a PBR could be in ELITT. Also, a sick call on a premium award pays straight.
Edit- I think I get it now. I believe he means intentionally ELITTing into a trip with showtime within 2 hours of RAP and then calling out sick so the company is forced to pay premium to the next guy.

This....if you know you might need/want to call off....help someone out while you do it. Now that the elitt window is only 2 days out....if something pops up and home I need to stay home for and there's something that's pays more in elitt that just so happens to have a report within 2 hrs of RAP start...I'll trade into that all day long.

This is a pro move. I am just now putting this in my scan. Thanks to whoever brought it up. Probably won't make a difference in February since everything seems to be going straight, but in peak flying it surely will.

Short notice also triggers SNOT-S/P or SWMP rsv callout. I think it’s within 2-3 hrs of report to trigger SNOT? I don’t really do that unless it’s food poisoning/sick kid/last minute thing. No idea if proffering next month will change this also as non-conforming pairings bid on go to rsv prior to POT assuming coverage exists?

Either way, it helps someone out.
