I also want to point out that a R-ATP is literally a placeholder until the pilot gets the experience or age. Then all they have to do is go to the FSDO to get the restriction removed. It literally means nothing in the grand scheme
if you can get the FSDO to do it. When I had mine removed they initially told me they would not do it and I had to go to a DPE and pay a DPE fee for them to do it. I ended up getting the FSDO to do it because I was there for another matter, but they would not take appointments for restriction removal when i did mine.
but for anyone who isn’t aware, like breezy said, there is no difference between a R-ATP and an ATP Except paperwork.
