I don't give them that much credit....my category has been blue positive coverage every day for the last two bid months....they pre-post rest for every single person going into hard non fly day....still positive coverage everyday so people can still drop whatever they want.
I feel like it solves some problem internal to the scheduling shop....I don't know what that problem is, but I feel the "lets pre-post the rest" is the good idea fairy of a Sched Supervisor or maybe even HT herself, and they never really considered the secondary effects it would have on the pilots.
I don't know, brother. I think the 'problem' internal to the scheduling shop may well be PB days (via Res GS, which we all know they hate with the fire of 1000 suns), driving the res available matrix lower, or something anti-pilot. It's a pretty big change to the way they have ever done things. It has to be for a reason. Regardless, it's total BS when you are #7 of 7 in a days-of-avail group and you get tagged with the trip.
You might be right, but I have a feeling it ain't for benevolent reasons. Maybe I've become a cynic...
