Walmart and Amazon have crushed it pretty hard. They treat their employees like crap and at least one of them treats their customers like crap too.
First, Amazon customer service is exemplary (and is why they have gained so much market share). WalMart countered with trying to emulate (via online ordering emphasis) after realizing how well it worked.
But, besides them, what is the alternative to either? Both ARE the market. We have 9 competitors.
