Same here, I see it as a "better to always have my logbook in top notch shape" in the event something DOES happen, vs scrambling to try and fit 3000 hours of flying into a logbook in a short span of time.
FO a few trips ago gave me crap about logging the times into my phone. Told him, “been doing it for 27 years…why stop now?”
If someone asks if we flew together before…I can tell them when and where. If someone asks how may hours in the 737, etc…takes a few seconds. Logbook review was the easiest part of the interview here…it’s habit and doesn’t take but 20 seconds every flight.
