If someone has to publicly declare when they are “gifted” (awarded) stock, or buy or sell stock in the company then we don’t have to abbreviate their names.

If they’re some base chief or senior general manager of minions then sure, use a cover name; but Ed and the rest of the C-Suite literally live under a public microscope. It’s a big reason why they’re compensated how they are. A deal with the devil and all.
