Of course we will see tomorrow if I still remember how to ride at all, as it's the first open practice of the year at Englishtown NJ's raceway park MX. Been off the bike (other than just rolling around/minor testing) for 2 years since a bad car accident.

I also brew beer.

I am a man of many redneck talents. For those who have seen "The Big Bang Theory" my wife describes me as Redneck Sheldon. Or the most overeducated redneck on the planet.

I went to engineering school because one of the best suspension guys in the world (Rick Ziefelder) who owns a well known suspension shop (Factory Connection) and owned a race team said I should probably go to engineering school because I was asking questions about how suspension works from a fluid dynamics standpoint way beyond what he was expecting out of a redneck farm kid who happened to be stupid fast on a dirtbike, mostly because I was doing the math in my head of what could and couldn't work on the fly. As a backup plan in case being a pro motocross racer didn't work. Probably was his nice way of saying, you are fast, you are pro fast, but you aren't "I'm going to retire at 30 off of race winnings fast". But the engineering background coupled with being able to go 97% speed of the "real pros" has paid dividends over the years as I've been one of the few suspension guys who when a rider doesn't like how something is riding, but couldn't articulate it past "the forks suck, the shock is wonky" who could hop on the bike and push it close to that speed.
Good luck with the race.
