On rare occasions I’ve heard of errors happening. Prior to Covid I had a hiccup during the background check process when I was applying to another regional airline. I forgot what exactly happened, but the regional in question said they needed to rerun the background check on me as they believed it was in error, regarding a previous non aviation employer or something, idk, can’t remember the details. I was still hired on, everything checked out with them regarding the background check, but I got a little scared because I’m like there’s nothing fishy in my background, no criminal record, etc. etc. so I couldn’t figure out what the issue may have been while I was waiting. But it did delay me getting started. I ended up leaving them anyway after Covid went into full swing and applied to a different carrier after hired picked up later on.
Yeah, things happen and errors are made. That actually concern me even more in this case because the airline in question didn’t run anything by me or give me a chance to respond. They just pulled the CJO.
