Well the other guy did that and still got the CJO yanked during background. If I had a dismissed juvenile charge it wouldn't occur to me to disclose it either unless they directly asked. Which they don't. Because ostensibly only convictions matter. That part makes sense. This other stuff, not so much.

I had so many conflicting suggestions on what to do. some said dont say anything while others said they wont care since the charges were dismissed and they want honesty.

I went ahead and disclosed because I know that everything will show. Boom rescinded.

what i do find weird though is that I did the whole fbi fingerprint check on myself. my 30 yrs old arrest and charge and disposition showed up. This was the assault with a deadly weapon charges which was a felony charge. The 7 year old arrest and charge also for assault but a misdemeanor did not show up.

I had disclosed both and now thinking maybe I should have only disclosed the 30 yr old record and maybe they would have given me a chance since that was from high school etc.

If you were arrested and fingerprinted it’s going to make its way to the creepy FBIs database.

It’s going to stay there unless the arresting agency asks for it to be removed.

That said, two criminal charges for the same thing spaced that far apart, you didn’t learn your lesson.

I think you first may need to seek the answer to why you can’t keep your hands to yourself, if you want a serious job, and also before you attempt a 3rd assault charge on the wrong person.

I understand what you are saying.
both arrests were blown out of proportion. I have held a professional job in medicine for 17 yrs now and wholly regret the events. part 121 has been a dream career of mine but if I don't get it I'll just work another 10 yrs in medicine then retire.

Just like everyonee in prison is innocent. I feel your pain, we are biased towards thinking we arent who our record says we are. However, to an outsider, they only know what they read on paper. Might jusst be in your best interest to finish out that career in medicine…retire…and fly yourself around.

Heck of a coincidence they end up being for the same crime.

I’d wager the airlines are going to look at it the same way. Most real Americans don’t have much faith in our legal system / gov workers, but the same crime thing is still hard to wrap one’s head around.

If it was all legit BS, get a lawyer and see about getting those charges purged from the FBI and local databases, but mostly the FBI one which is probably what’s hitting
