According to the fair credit reporting act, they are supposed to inform me ahead of time if they’re going to make an adverse hiring decision based on something they found in a consumer background check. So, either they don’t care to go through that process or their decision was based on something else.
Seems like a dangerous way to advocate for a job. Kinda feel like they don’t owe you anything. No matter what you find on the report they can and will say you were not a good cultural fit. Probably about time to pack up and move along from them. Review your background, correct any mistakes, and disclose anything else in future interviews.
