I have no special insight to the ME or Iran, but it doesn't take a genius to see that pulling out of the agreement essentially told Iranian leadership that there would never be a negotiated truce with Israel/America.
it also told them that, due to America's political system and current interpretation of Presidential powers, an agreement with the USA lacks any lasting relevance.
They were now in a completely Hobbesian world of war of all against all.

Hence the sowing of the wind has led to the reaping of the whirlwind.
You talking about the agreement where we were paying Iran $$$ and meanwhile they were spinning centrifuges and developing ICBMs? That agreement? Yeah it only worked out well for one party, that was Iran. Until cancelled, as it should have been. Iran was never going to stop in it's pursuit of a nuclear weapon(s). Iran was never going to stop pursuit of an "organically" developed ICBM. Never. Furthermore, Iran never in the past has negotiated in good faith (see UN, IAEA inspections etc etc etc).

The "war against all" is actually a good sign that the entire structure of the terrorist regime has come apart. They bombed Qatar. Their most staunch ally in the region. They continue to fracture, further destabilizing and thus less of a threat to the people of Iran, who want nothing more than to toss the Mullahs and the rest of that apparatus into the pit.

There's always been 2 screens in Iran. On one screen you have the "elected" government. On the other screen you have the IRGC. The "elected" side is the one you negotiate with and basically represents any other states' official recognized government (the ones you negotiate with, represent their country at international bodies, staff embassies etc). The IRGC side is the ones that do all the dirty work behind the scenes but make no mistake, they are just as equal if not more powerful than the "elected" screen.

The 2 screens were connected, usually by a strong man put in place to work between the "elected" side and the IRGC side. The last connection between the screens was eliminated when Larijani was erased. The Iranian President asked the IRGC to stop bombing all the gulf states. They keep bombing them. The Iranian President wants to quit, but he can't, he also doesn't want to get vaporized. He has no power over the IRGC. So now we have one side, the IRGC. They are a fragmented group of power players and will kill each other off to get the power. They are struggling internally for the power grab, as they do so, they become more weakened by the day. Separating the screens was an objective of this campaign, it is a center of gravity. It was targeted and will be continually targeted. As they grow weaker from infighting and ankle biting the strength of the people grows. Only a matter of time now before it unravels.

War powers. 3 votes now on that. All struck down. That is implied consent. Funny never saw this when Libya, Syria, were going on. Have patience, let the man cook.
