The contract says the company WILL give pilots one per year (within certain parameters). It does not say a pilot is only allowed to use one per year.
I've used an APD the last 3 bid periods. Sounds like my secret is out. They fixed the glitch.
Cool, but not exactly what it says. I could see the same company that considers sick use abuse of our contract to also say something like “you should know better” since the language says:
“An APD request will be granted if, at the time of processing…pilot has not been granted an APD since the first day of the bid period containing the last anniversary of their date of hire.”
