If you're talking about flying trips, I might get called on a 3 day trip and end up flying more days than you, but I might also not get called and and as a result fly 2 days less than you.
As I said in my last post, I haven't flown a trip in the last month and you have, so how are you flying less than me because of GS/QS?
Trying to wrap my head around this post.
Imagine for a moment you're NOT in a category that's that's breezing through months of RES unused (which is most lately, I would wager.) And are all but guaranteed to be assigned unbroken 3-4-5 day trips on your 3-4-5-6 day blocks. Picking up broken GS/QS on X-days and busting up those stretches of LC goes a LONG way towards making your remaining LC days less usable for unbroken trips.
You're correct to say you're not "gaining" X-days by flying GS/QS over X-days (other than the 9 hours), but in terms of TAFB, flying broken trips vs unbroken trips almost always results in less TAFB.
And then of course there's the pay aspect.
