IMO, the company doesn't like PB days because of money, not productivity. If a guy is picking up a trip on his days off, they are getting voluntary productivity out of him.
Just look at the PB washing decision by the company, purely financial. It will cause lower productivity by:
1. Having guys on vacation when they would have been willing to pick up trips.
2. Having guys not pick up extra time due to the loss of PB day washing.
(Unless you think they were too obtuse to realize their decision would lower productivity)
I think they're trying to plug holes happening RIGHT NOW in a VERY leaky money bucket. Even if it means robbing peter to pay paul (PB day nerf.) Extra bonus if they convince RES pilots that since PB days are worth "less", we'll cave on 2x pay for GS/QS vs PB/PR. Don't fall for that.
