If you want to send a clear message, don't go, don't engage, don't respond to surveys, don't show up to base visits, none of it. Have self respect, that means stop entertaining antisocials. Show apathy until it is no longer warranted, it is really that simple.

I went years ago and held senior leaders accountable with some direct questions in front of hundreds of employees drunk on Kool-Aid. The discomfort in the hall was palpable. I also had some direct private conversation with a member of the board.
I don’t think anyone should hesitate to go to velvet. Just use it for the unique opportunity it is.
