So now, I'm left with paying for insurance that pretty much can't be used in my area unless you want to go to the absolutely worst providers. My wife is presently undergoing cancer treatment, so her doctors notified us we have until June 1st to find another "provider". These are doctors that have been with her and treated her for the course of her cancer "journey". Now we have to pull chocks and go look elsewhere right in the middle of her treatment. Our health care sucks, it's a national disgrace this happens. I'm not going political here just stating that this insurance BS has got to stop.

I'm not sure what insurance I'm going to get as I am sure as he!! not setting her up with the far below sub standard practices in our area that still accept UHC. This is totally unacceptable for a fortune 100 company. I filled out my "survey" BTW and made sure to mention this. Unacceptable. Totally. Unacceptable. DALPA needs to get someone else for our DPMP. UHC is unacceptable.
No idea about the specifics in your area, but where I live UHC and our main hospital system go through this every 4-5 years when they renew their contract. Each side hems and haws for a while, and yes sometimes UHC/UMR is dropped, but at least so far each time it has been temporary and they’ve always reached a new agreement. Hopefully in your case it’s the same thing and this is all just posturing for a final deal.
