Ive lost track of how many times I've attempted to use Flight Family that I had just got to hotel and my new pickup time would be 10 hours from the time of the message, and I would be at the airport 20-25 minutes later and to adjust departure time and boarding as appropriate.
What really happens? I get down stairs and no transportation for me....wait 20 minutes....get Uber....finally get to airport....plane is fully boarded and gate agent gives me the smart arse "glad to see you could make it" remark.....no one had any idea I was coming in solo and much later than planned.
I'm not really sure of what Crew Assist's job is any more because I sure don't ge much assist from them.

Flight Family is more of a CYA as everyone documents the virtue of their own actions while placing not-too-subtle blame on everyone else.

Reminds me of the days when we'd send "wheels and deals" on the in range ACARS.
Supposedly a legendary (probably apocryphal) captain typed in the "remarks section" a note saying:
"The first person to come out and tell me they read this will get $50".
As the story goes, it took over six months before he had to pay out.
