I don’t disagree with any of your points. And, full disclosure, I’m one of the pilots that benefited from record hiring/movement as well as a great contract—and, as a mil guy, am VERY inexperienced with airline management.
My only thought is that the kid that wants to visit the flight deck doesn’t care about management/labor relations. He (or she) wants to talk to the pilots, get a card/wings, and then go sit down.
I’m never going to deny a kid that, no matter how mad/disappointed I am with the company. There are better ways than treating kids poorly, IMHO.
Where did he say he'd deny the kid ??
