Agreed. But the company will keep doing it because pilots accept them on a regular basis.
If the airline called a pilot on a working trip in the hotel at 2 am with a reroute reporting in 3 hours that would include 3 working legs, every pilot would laugh and hang up.
But if it's at home and more money is involved, somehow, magically, there is no fatigue.
Not pointing fingers here.
What's illegal on the road is somehow AOK with pilots when they're at home.
