With that being said, no one is worrying about being on the chopping block because of what anyone else is going through. Out of the close to 2000 pilots I haven't really heard one person express their concern about being next to go. We all know anything is possible. I have asked many of the captains I fly with what their take is on ASA's place when it comes to Delta pulling the plug and most guys are pretty confident because at ASA among all of the rookies there are still quite a few senior pilots that have been around for 25+ years and seen the really bad times. They base it on the ASA has never furloughed a pilot nor has the company ever reported a loss. Im sure all this comes across as the "my regional is better than yours!" Im just sort of clarifying and or correcting some of the speculation. In all seriousness does anyone know how many flights Pinnacle operated out of ATL?
ok, so maybe i should rephrase my post. my friend is in management, as in not pilot, or over pilots, or anything to do with pilots. he is at the office building (the hagar now). it is OVER THERE where people were getting worked up about them being next. i dont know anything about how the pilots feel, and never said i did. the reason he said it was funny (i have already said this but will say it again) is because everyone over there was getting worked up over pinnacle losing their contract because our numbers on average have been better than asa. so they all (not my friend because he is a little higher up than the average office manager) thought it was funny that it only took 2 days before the rumors were flying around the office that they were next and that brad had to send out an email to settle everyone down.
