I am not an expert on UA's deadhead rules, but I believe it's got some first class DH domestically - which I would certainly appreciate, but I think is a tall ask from the company. I don't think they are going to give that up without a long fight.
One of United’s biggest perks is they get 150% pay for any leg occupying a middle seat on a deadhead.
That seems like an easy ask and should have been done long ago.
