Generally curious. When I was a lowly panel guy sitting sideways making squat as a new hire here, I tipped. Because that was prudent and expected of us as professionals. Now?
I don't get it. Someone explain this to me.
With electronic payment as the norm now, everyone has their hand out like a street dweller. "I need a signature on the tablet, you just have to answer the question first." It's gotten out of hand. I think minimum wage should apply to everyone and the people who actually serve you like a waiter should be tipped as YOU see fit. Van drivers aren't making a reduced wage and dependent on gratuity. I rode with one guy that had his own QR code so if you didn't have cash he would get his 2 bucks. Just pay people a living wage so they don't have to guilt people into giving you money. Tipping for service is so 1980s. If there is genuine appreciation then give something but the expectation is not the reason.
