I think the two bogus impeachments his first term so devalued impeachment by a partisan House majority that he doesn’t even mind going for the hat trick. And even if the opposition takes the Senate, the likelihood of them getting the 67 votes needed to actually CONVICT is pretty near negligible. He’d have to lose 16-17 seats out of the 20 up for a vote and have every Dem senator voting against him. Not impossible but extremely unlikely. And then what? JD Vance finishes out his term?
And the recent SCOTUS decision essentially outlawing majority-minority districts (which account for at least 69 House districts) makes even getting a majority in the House voting against him difficult and keeping that majority in 2028 even more problematic.
