Some would consider the United States the terrorists

Weird how no one hates the Canadians. Or Swiss.

Plenty of people hate both those countries.

Hell, we lose more than that in a class full of school children in Sandy Hook… Uvalde… that’s why I can’t take your side seriously. They try so hard to justify any of this going on today, by reaching back in the 80s and 90s.
Iran is in the second FO part of the FOFO cycle. Play stupid games win stupid prizes. They are finding out when the U.S. doesn't have weak pushover Appeasementcrats as Presidents. Cry harder

As for the Khobar attack, I don’t recall blame on Iran for that. But I guess it certainly makes it easier to what…. justify crap from the 80s to war in 2026? No one cited stuff from the 80s to justify the war today.

Of course they were targeted, because they were military installations or military personnel, in their part of the world.

Yes, fog of war. Iran shot down a Ukrainian 737 in 2020. It was not deliberately targeted, they thought (stupidly) it was a missile.

I guess because we entered their world? I don’t know. If Russia took Cuba and the started bombing us from Cuba, I probably wouldn’t care if something bad happened to Cuba.

Nope. Follow the money. That’s usually where answers are. Who stands to financially gain from all this? That’s where you’ll find some answers. This entire process was launched haphazardly and has been a grift. There has been a lot of money made on oil futures and short positions literally moments before a Trump announcement. This has occurred multiple times since Feb 28.

“Regional biases you were raised with.”

Nice try at a personal attack. I moved to the United States at a very young age, just after 2nd grade elementary school, so I have been raised to and exposed to the western way of life and freedoms. You know, part of that freedom being the right to criticize your govt actions and free speech against the govt without fear of govt retaliation.

As for your last sentence, right back at you: You are dismissing multiple changing narratives for why this war is happening in order to protect that narrative.

Wow... it is fascinating to watch how quickly you shift the goalposts and rely on historical revisionism the moment cold, hard data exposes your bias.

Let's address your attempt to rationalize the murder of American troops in Iraq. Claiming the Quds Force's role was 'small' and that it doesn't matter because the war was 'stupid' is a sickening defense. The origin of the war does not magically excuse Iran smuggling specialized, armor-melting weapons to kill 603 American service members. To you, those 603 flag-draped coffins are just a 'small portion' to be swept under the rug because it conflicts with your worldview. So, on behalf of every service member in this country and their families - a big fat double barrel middle fingers right at you.

Your geographical ignorance is even worse. You claim U.S. troops were 'in their part of the world.' Hey dumba$$.... Lebanon and Saudi Arabia aren't Iranian provinces. By defending the Marine Barracks and Khobar Towers bombings under the guise of 'entering their world,' you are literally arguing that Iran has a regional right to launch mass-casualty terror attacks inside neighboring sovereign countries. It's a textbook extremist talking point.

And nice try trying to hide behind the massive, multi-billion dollar oil futures grift to salvage your 'follow the money' cliché. Yes, the CFTC and DOJ are actively investigating the $7 billion in suspicious crude shorts placed right before Trump's announcements. These people are nothing but profiteers, and yet it STILL doesn't erase almost 5 decades of Iranian terrorism. You are using a localized 2026 insider trading probe to minimize decades of IRGC-funded bombings, hijackings, and proxy slaughters. Can you get any more pathetic?

Finally, don't lecture me on American freedoms. Moving here as a kid gave you an opportunity to achieve what many kids around the world can only dream of, but it clearly didn't scrub the deep-rooted anti-Western tropes out of your belief system. The ultimate irony remains: you hide behind the First Amendment to minimize American military deaths and carry water for the IRGC, fully knowing that if you tried to pull this kind of selective dissent or carried water for an adversary back in Pakistan, you'd be locked away or disappeared. It is incredibly dark that you reap the immense economic privileges of being an airline pilot in this country while casually dismissing the targeted slaughter of our troops. Is it just pure ignorance, or perhaps something far more malignant?
