No it is not a requirement. The ALPA kool-aid drinkers (and Comair has plenty) will tell you so, but there are a few on our seniority list that have opted out of the union. But guess what? They still have dues money taken out of their paycheck. At that point, you may as well be in the union and receive the benefits of it.
Do you think the Company has your best interests in mind? I can guarantee you upper management at Comair could give half a corn hole about you, your family or your career.
