The reason we are talking about here is NOT because it was a willful non compliance rather it has gained notoriety because it was WILLFUL NON COMPLIANCE,VIOLATION of company policy that was CAPTURED ON VIDEO AND BROADCAST by numerous news outlets………that’s why there is a thread about it.
How do you know what is the norm on company charters? Do you work them?…Do you even work at United? Why because the plaintiff said so?…….cant imagine why she’d lie?
I agree with you that willful non compliance that is otherwise not known likely does not result in termination, but why would the company at act punitively if they aren’t even aware of the violation to begin with?
May I ask what do expect the company to do in that situation? It’s on video documenting their own (the crew) reckless behavior…….not to mention the brand damage the company was exposed to.
