Well that makes too much sense. It's easier to just cry "labor costs" and do nothing about it except outsource all of mainline flying to the regionals or Alaska/British Airways. Sprinkle in whatever flavor of the month excuse to justify lackluster results with softball, cherry-picked questions from journalists and "employees" and you have Robert Isom's time as CEO in a nutshell.
Bonus points if you also cry about labor costs and then turn around take about half of the annual profits and pocket them between yourself and your cronies.
PS: If we have 3 seperate WO regional airlines, why do we also still have contracts with Skywest and Republic? I don't think the whipsaw is whipsawing anymore.
