Mostly unionized...All the legacies and majors are. Some have aggressive/hostile relationships with management NWA/AA come to mind. Some have historically cooperative relationships with management DAL/SWA. Pay and working conditions comparable along the continuum. Which is the cart and which is the horse? The answer will depend on one's outlook... but a case can be made for either answer.

The only thing I personally know(and I explained to my sons)....It is much more pleasant to work in a non-hostile environment. Exerting pressure to achieve your objective is warranted sometimes...but I caution, don't let it become a way of life on every single issue and don't internalize/personalize it. Like raising kids or finding happiness with a significant other...... "Pick your battles". JMHO
